Same Sex Families

Same-sex families demonstrate involvement, diversity, and an interest in their child's education. For some couples, the parental duties are divided by their strengths and not social standards. They model this behavior to their children and it is a wonderful demonstration. Same-sex families must feel supported and welcomed by their neighbors, schools, and community.

We can do that by introducing ourselves with pronouns and asking for their names and pronouns as well. Provide information about any playgroups, neighborhood events, babysitters, and family events. I cannot express this with any more passion: Speak up and out against negative behaviors and words. Challenge your own thinking. Be compassionate, respectful, non-judgment, and open.
